A place for everything and everything in its place. That is some sage advice an old friend once gave me, and it can be especially useful if you have some unusual space in your home that you just aren’t sure what to do with. Here are just a few ideas on what you can do with unused or underused space in your home.
*Consider turning odd shaped nooks and crannies into extra storage space in the kitchen. A drawer that isn’t quite big enough for pots and pans can make a fabulous pull out spice rack or pop up shelf for your mixer.
*Do you have a 2nd bedroom close to the Master that feels too small even for a twin sized bed? Consider converting into the closet of your dreams.
*Utilize empty space under the staircase on the main level by turning into a coat or broom closet.
*Build pull out drawers into a deep wall in a basement to store extra blankets, books, magazines, scrap books & photo albums.
*A long time favorite of course are shelves along side the mantle of a fireplace or a wall of shelves for your books in the study.
