Summer Projects

As summer is approaching, I’m sure you are prepping your house for summer projects of 2012! Don’t forget to take care of your cooling units.

In order for your cooling units to run efficiently in the summer months, a few things need to be checked out:

1) change your furnace filter monthly (this will keep debris out of the air you breathe and will keep the furnace clear), 2) check the filters on your air exchanger (vacuum or blow them out), 3) set your finance humidifier to the “off” or “summer” setting, 4) check your outside air intake to be sure it is free from debris (over grown landscaping, animals, bugs, etc.), 5) take off and discard your air conditioning cover (in the fall, place a piece of plywood over the until to hold it down), 6) spray out your air conditioning unit with a garden hose.

With these simple steps, you are helping to ensure that your cooling units are working the best that they can while keeping your family cool.
