Chuck, the president of J Brothers, has worked in the building and remodeling industry for over 40 years. His high school shop classes helped him discover a passion for building and motivated him to enroll in Alexandria Vocational Technical Institute’s carpentry program.
He’s held a variety of positions in his extensive career, including project manager and vice president, in charge of building custom-designed, high-end homes for the majority of that time. Today, he uses his expertise to help new clients outline their remodeling projects, using their vision and ideas to determine scope, timeline, and preliminary budget.
Teri and Chuck married in 1978, and together they ran Chuck’s construction company in Central Minnesota for nine years. Teri worked as a bookkeeper for the business, learning all the ins and outs of the industry firsthand. She bought out Chuck’s brother in 2008 to become co-owner of J Brothers and also serves as its office manager, providing efficient, up-to-date business records for the company.
Chuck volunteers at his church and loves to golf. Teri also spends time with friends at wine club, book club, and Bible study. Together, the two enjoy being at the lake and spending time with their four children and eight grandchildren.
Mitch, Teri and Chuck’s youngest son, manage the Project Managers and oversees all scheduling and ordering to ensure all jobs finish on time. He graduated from Hennepin Technical College’s carpentry program in May of 2010 and has been working for the company ever since.
Carrie is Mitch’s wife and serves J Brothers as an Interior Designer. She holds certification from the National Council for Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ) and through the state as a Certified Interior Designer (CID). After graduating from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities with a bachelor’s degree in interior design, Carrie gained five years of experience in commercial design and three years in residential. She works closely with clients to custom-design projects, ensuring they showcase personalized style while working within the budget.
Mitch and Carrie represent the second generation in the J Brothers history. The two enjoy being active and spending free time with their daughter, Halle, and friends.
Bruce is Chuck’s brother. He attended vocational school for drafting and has over 35 years of custom home remodeling experience, including several years spent installing wood floors before rejoining the J Brothers team in 2014. Bruce and his loving wife Chris have two daughters, Chelsea and Amber, and three grandchildren. He loves to spend time with his family and play golf.
Prior to joining the team, Adam was a sales rep and operations manager. His past professions act as a great foundation for his role as a Project Manager at J Brothers. Adam’s duties at J Brothers include daily meetings with subcontractors and ensuring all projects run smoothly with constant communication and updates. In his spare time, Adam enjoys spending time with his wife, Paige, their two kids, Rylee and Westlee, and their two dogs. Adam and Paige also spend time working on a yard game company they started with Paige’s parents in spring 2018: Tri21Boards.com. Adam’s favorite part of his job is the variety his position brings every day and continuously learning new things.
What our past clients say about Adam: “Adam is a planner; he keeps you informed and helps you think through the process. He’s like the mother hen of the group! He is professional and helpful. He kept me up on what time to be out of my jammies each day!”
Brian’s role as Project Manager suits him well as he previously was a National Sales Manager for a custom tooling company. His favorite part of the job is interacting with clients and helping them understand the process and progression of their project. Brian spent a year traveling, lived in Australia, and has been to almost 30 countries. He spends his extra time with his dog Izzy and partner Meghan.
What our clients say about Brian: “Brian is very attentive and communicated the plan for our project each evening. We always knew what was going on and our questions were answered promptly. We especially appreciated how warm and engaging he was with us and our children.”
Ali is the organizer of all things around the office. She sets up new client appointments, collects bids from subcontractors, and puts together project contracts. When she isn’t working, Ali loves to cook. Occasionally, she spoils the team and brings homemade treats into the office. She also enjoys spending time with her husband, Luke, and sons, Reece and Ryan.
Robby grew up in Oregon and was a ranch hand on a 150-acre cattle farm. During that time, he learned to frame and mend fences, bailed hay, and lent his hard work wherever he could. He’s a great fit at J Brothers because of his past work experience. Robby is always willing to help anyone who needs it whether it be at work, or after hours. His favorite part of the job is the chance to learn something new every day. When he isn’t working, Robby spends his time outdoors and with his girlfriend, Naomi.
Paige has worked for multiple Fortune 500 companies developing social media content. We are fortunate to have her help with J Brothers social media and see her as a great addition to our team.
